The Mushroom Farm Park Dome is a flagship public-space activation project located in Sandton, developed in collaboration with Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo and supported by FNB. The Dome is positioned as a high-value community and events destination that brings together public-space development, corporate partnership, and long-term community benefit.
With an estimated capacity of approximately 700 seated guests or 1,000 standing guests, the venue creates opportunities for a wide range of events, including corporate functions, community gatherings, lifestyle activations, cultural experiences, leadership events, and public engagement programmes. As part of Grow Place Nexus’ broader purpose, the project demonstrates how parks and open spaces can be transformed into active, sustainable, and commercially valuable community assets.
The Mushroom Farm Park Dome reflects the power of strategic public-private collaboration by creating a space that supports brand visibility, event activation, social impact, and ongoing public-space use. It is a strong example of how investment in community-focused infrastructure can unlock shared value for public entities, corporate partners, event organisers, and surrounding communities.
